About the MWPSC
Collaborative research. Better care. Brighter futures for children.
Uniting Expertise to Advance Pediatric Surgery
The Midwest Pediatric Surgery Research Consortium (MWPSC) is a collaborative of academic pediatric surgeons from 11 leading children’s hospitals, united by a shared commitment to improving the lives of children through research and innovation. Founded with the goal of driving high-impact, multi-institutional clinical studies, the Consortium focuses on the most pressing surgical diseases affecting children today.
Our member institutions represent some of the most respected names in pediatric healthcare, collectively contributing a high volume of surgical expertise and research resources. The close geographic ties and collegial spirit among our investigators foster efficient study development and streamlined collaboration—turning questions into answers faster, and accelerating improvements in patient care.
Together, we aim to:
Advance evidence-based surgical care through rigorous research
Define and promote best practices
Improve patient outcomes while reducing healthcare costs
At MWPSC, we believe that when we work together, we can change the surgical landscape for children—one study, one patient, one breakthrough at a time.
